The Angel Christmas Ornament

These extraordinary ornaments are works of art created by using a sand-cast mold that is formed from molten metal. Using a Renaissance-era technique, the glassblower creates what is called a ‘mother mold.’ Liquid sterling is injected by hand into the ornament, creating a luminescence that seems to glow from within. Each ornament has a base coat of matte lacquer which is applied by hand. The other colors are applied on top of the base coat, resulting in the transformation of the ornament into a visual delight. Each of the Sands of Bethlehem ornaments has distinctive touches that are a result of the painted details meticulously applied by hand. A sprinkling of sand from the Holy Land is tenderly applied to each work of art. They are then carefully placed in their own keepsake boxes and made ready for shipment.
